Freight Handling Rules & Regulations at The Moscone Center

Show Freight

The General Service Contractor or freight handler for the event is responsible for all material handling services for all show-related freight and material consigned to arrive in accordance with your contractor’s schedule.

Show freight may not arrive on site until the first contracted day of move-in. The Moscone Center does not have shipping & receiving or storage for show-related shipments. Any items needing to be shipped in advance, should be shipped to the GSC’s advance warehouse.

Loading Docks

Loading docks and receiving areas are staffed and managed by your General Service Contractor. All dock activity should be coordinated through them, including POV (Personally Owned Vehicle) programs. See links below for more information.

Exhibitor Hand-Carry & Freight Handling Limitations

Exhibitor hand -carry of small items through the lobby entrance is limited to items easily carried by hand in a single trip without the use of freight handling equipment. No carts or dollies are permitted through lobby areas or on the passenger elevators or escalators. Parking is not permitted at the curbs.

It is the responsibility of the client and/or their General Service Contractor to monitor exhibitor hand-carry traffic.

Exhibitors may not operate forklifts within The Moscone Center.
