PCBC 2005 Sets Records for Attendance
June 6, 2005, SAN FRANCISCO, California - An estimated 30,500 homebuilding professionals, and 12 percent more than the attendance in 2004, attended PCBC from May 31-June 3, participating in nearly 60 seminars and programs, listening to outstanding keynote speakers, and interacting with the 600 exhibitors in the Moscone Center exhibit halls.
As always, a high point of PCBC was the educational programs, covering everything from the nuts-and-bolts of construction management to cutting-edge programs on such topics as selling to ethnic buyers, land acquisition, and urban-infill development.
Of particular interest to CBIA members were the California Forum programs, designed by CBIA to focus on issues particularly important in the Golden State, including solar power, understanding SB 800, and CBIA's California Green Builder program.
But even with the powerful speakers and informative educational programs, PCBC wouldn't be possible without our exhibitor community and the two huge show floors which enable attendees to see all the latest products and services that help build homes more efficiently and the new entries that make new homes even more appealing. PCBC 2005 featured the largest exhibit floor yet, with more than 600 vendors and 194,500 net square feet of exhibit space, a 12 percent increase over last year. Over 80 percent of the exhibit floor has already been sold for the 2006 PCBC.
Exhibitors and attendees alike were enthusiastic about the size and quality of the Show, which has vaulted into the top 150 trade shows in the nation and will likely be ranked even higher when this year's rankings are released.
