San Francisco Chronicle|sfgate.com International Auto Show to Exhibit Vast Array of Alternative Fuel and Hybrid Vehicles
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – November 16, 2011 – Visitors to the 54th Annual San Francisco Chronicle|SFGate.com International Auto Show presented by AutoTrader.com will have the opportunity to see, and in one case drive, a vast array of the newest alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles from the world’s major manufacturers.
Among the vehicles on display at the Auto Show, which open this Saturday, November 19 and runs through Sunday, November 27 at Moscone Convention Center, will be:
The BMW Active-E electric, Chevrolet’s Volt, Fisker’s Karma, Ford’s BEV electric, Escape and Fusion Hybrids, Honda’s Civic IMA-L Hybrid, Insight and Civic Natural Gas vehicle, the 2013 Lexus GS 450h and Lexus RXh, Mitsubishi’s IMIEV electric car, Nissan’s LEAF, Toyota’s Camry Hybrid, Highlander Hybrid, Prius and new Prius V.
One of the top attractions at this year’s show will be the Nissan LEAF “drive electric tour sponsored by the 100% electric Nissan LEAF™”. The tour will provide show attendees the opportunity to test drive a LEAF on an indoor course on the show’s main floor.
Also exhibiting at the show will be KLEENSPEED an EV technology and systems development company which will display their EV-X11 race car, the E-Kart and E Assist bicycles, the California Center for Sustainable Energy which will provide information about the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project and PG&E which will provide information PEV rates.
The San Francisco Chronicle|SFGate.com International Auto Show is presented by AutoTrader.com and supported by the California Motor Car Dealers Association. The show will fill Moscone Center with exhibits in the north and south halls and the Gateway plus the north and south lobby areas. Vehicles representing the work of 38 manufacturers for the year 2012 and beyond will all be on display including several new introductions, exotic sports cars, alternative fuel, hybrid and high-mileage vehicles plus special exhibits including the Academy of Art University Classic Car Collection, the Aftermarket Alley, hot rods from Dominator Street Rods and an auto accessory area.

Sunday, November 27: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
